Oh, by the way... I can walk... with some help, that is.
A look into the life and times of Dillon and Michael Wright... and sometimes their parents, too.

Dillon's 1st Birthday Party
We had Dillon's first birthday party today at Grandma Drilling's house

Mommy and I had fun opening all my presents.

When I started getting clothes, it was time to leave, though

This one had a note that said for Daddy to go into the dining room.

Daddy brought back a really big box. It was a carseat for Daddy's car!

After presents, it was time for cake. I wasn't sure what to do at first....

I got the hang of it pretty quickly, though.

Mmm, cake is good stuff!

Father's Day 2008

This picture was taken at our Father's Day brunch by the other man in my life, my daddy. :)
Father's Day was good. Chris got off work Saturday at midnight and decided to open his presents then. I got him a shirt, khaki shorts, jean shorts, and some brown flip flop shoes. Sunday we went to church and then had a steak lunch at Mom and Dad's house. Uncle Tom joined Mom, Dad, Michelle, Chris, Dillon and me. It was obvious Dillon was tired, but for the most part he was good. :) Chris left for work at 2:00, but a good lunch was enjoyed by all.

Saturday afternoon fun

This past Saturday, Dillon and I went to the 50th anniversary party for two choir members. (Chris was at work, although we did get to spend the majority of the day together.) It was incredibly nice. There were a lot of people there from their growing up years, college, and assorted church members. Dillon was good, for the most part. Even though Dad was taking pictures, he also got to hold Dillon and show him off. :)
Chris and I have talked a lot about how amazing it is to us for a marriage to last 50 years. We are both praying that we are alive 50 years from now to celebrate the incredible milestone!
By the way... Father's Day pictures were taken this morning from my dad's camera. When Daddy gets the pictures downloaded, I will share them with blog world! :)

Swimming
On Tuesday, Chris and I went to my friend Ashley's swimming pool. She lives in an apartment complex that allows guests and invited us over. We had so much fun, and Dillon absolutely loved it! He did a lot of head dives into the water, but we swam around with him and he laughed and smiled. We forgot the actual camera, but we got some pictures on my phone. This is the only one we've emailed to ourselves thus far. (Ashley took this one.) As we email more, we'll update more. :)
