I'm Thankful For...

Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I thought I would blog about a few things I am thankful for. Just remember, these things are in random order as thought about in my brain. :)

I am thankful that we are able to celebrate such a wonderful holiday with family and friends! Tomorrow, Chris has to work from 5-1:30, but then we are going to his grandmothers' house with his family, then heading to my parents' house for Thanksgiving dinner. YUM! My mouth is watering at the thought of my mother's dressing... which is my FAVORITE thing about Thanksgiving...

Although a lot of the leaves have already fallen off, I am thankful that they are pretty when changing. Looking at changing leaves and their colors always makes me smile.

I am thankful for a WONDERFUL church. I was born into this church, but I am VERY thankful I was. My grandparents were charter members of St. Paul, my mom and uncle were raised here, my sister and I were born, baptised, and confirmed here. I watched Chris join the church (on his own... I did not pressure him!), we were married here, and my son has been baptised here. We are very actively involved in several ministries. I am grateful for the memories I have and that most of my best friends are from this church.

I am thankful for my marriage to Chris. We haven't been married quite two years, but we have already been through a lot as a young, married couple. However, I wouldn't change it for the world. Chris laughs with me, provides me a shoulder to cry on, and he has been supportive of me from the very beginning. I am very thankful that God led me to apply to Tanako that fateful summer that led us together. I had a WONDERFUL summer living out my dream of being a counselor where I grew up going to church camp, and I met my husband! What more could one ask for?

I am thankful for "sweet kisses," as Chris and I call them, from my little guy. This picture was taken a while ago, but I love it! Dillon has provided me so much joy. I never knew I could love someone as much as I love him. I never knew what love at first sight meant until he was born. Now, I know what it means... and it's AMAZING! He has taught me so much about myself and life. One of these days, Chris and I hope for Dillon to be an older sibling... but for now we are enjoying our sweet little boy!

Even though this season has been tough, I am thankful for the Razorbacks! They have provided me with smiles, frowns, laughs, and tears. I have grown up in a legacy of Razorback fans, and I am already teaching Dillon to be a football fan. He will watch football with me, and I taught him to hold his hands up for a touchdown. :) The Razorback games also offer me a chance to have family time or hang out with my friends. They are fun, and there is nothing quite like 70,000 people saying, WOOOOO PIG SOOIE! at the same time.

This picture was taken last Christmas, but it reminds me I am thankful for family. My family, as we continue to live and grow together. :) I am also thankful for my mom, dad, sister, uncle, etc. They have taught me so much about life, love and happiness. I am thankful for Chris's family, for loving and teaching him. We are also thankful that Chris's brother, Ben, and his wife, Cheryl, are going to have a baby in a few months. Dillon and his cousin will be about 18 months apart. Too fun! I am also thankful for my close friends whom I consider family. They are the best friends a girl could ask for. They've been there for the good, bad, best, and ugly.
Trust me, I am thankful for more... the little things, the big things. I hope you and your's have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving tomorrow!
