Happy Anniversary!

Happy 5 year anniversary, Chris Wright!  Thanks for being such a loving and wonderful father and husband.  These last five years have been an adventure, and I can't wait to see what God has in store for the rest of our lives!

I love you,
Diane

Christmas Weekend

Last Friday, we went to Mimi's house to see Uncle Ben, Aunt Cheryl, Elijah, and Charlie.
Michael didn't like Mama or Daddy holding that "other baby." He fussed at Daddy and wouldn't let Daddy hold him after holding Charlie.
All was forgiven when Daddy wrestled the three mobile boys.
In other news, Michael has started walking all over.
It is, however, hard to walk when you're not all the way up the stairs.
At Nan & Uncle John's house, Dillon and Zach played a lot. At one point, there were sharks loose in the floor.
Dillon got a little Bible, and said that now he could be in the choir.
Michael played with the wrapping paper just slightly less than the toys inside.
Christmas morning, we made sure that Santa had eaten his cookies and milk.
Dillon got the new "Cars 2" movie. He was pretty excited about it. It did cause some confusion, because he told people Santa brought him "New Cars," which is what he calls it.
Michael got a "Little People" helicopter.
Michael got a new book to read in the bathtub.
Dillon got "There's a Monster At The End of this Book" and "Where the Wild Things Are," among other things.
After presents and breakfast, it was time for church.
After church, we went to Nana and Babba's house for lunch and more presents.
 All the pretty presents.
Dillon got a pair of new shoes and boots. He likes the shoes, we haven't tried on the boots yet. We're still getting there.
Nana and Babba, Michelle, and Mimi and Papa got footprint pictures we made of the boy's feet. Michael's feet turned into a Christmas tree, and Dillon's turned into a heart.
We also made ornaments from the boys' hand prints. Michael's turned into more of a mitten, but it still looked good.
Dillon's turned out much better.
Michelle got Dillon a floor piano. He liked that a lot.
After Michael's nap, we went to Babba's cousin Joe's house. Michael even played a bit with the smaller of his two dogs, surprising all of us.
Then, it was back to Nana and Babba's house to open Michael's presents, since he slept through all the present opening.
Michael wasn't too interested in the presents until they were unwrapped. Even then, there were some that became instant favorites.

Merry Christmas!

Birthday Boy (late)

Michael is 1 year old!
He's still a happy baby toddler
We even got to turn his car seat around. Now he has a whole lot of new stuff to see, like the movies Dillon watches.
Nana threw a birthday party for him.
"And laying a finger aside of his nose…"
Ava came to play at his party.
He got a lot of new big boy presents.
The cake Nana got him was just a bit too big, so he didn't know what to do with it.
When we took it away and gave him a slice of the other, he knew just what to do with that one.

Stuff his whole mouth full.

Happy Birthday, Michael!

Dog, Standing, Santa

Last Sunday, we went down to see our friends in Arkadelphia. Michael liked playing with Joy, their dog.
Joy eventually warmed up to him.
Michael also stood up all on his own.
Tonight, we got to see Santa & Mrs. Claus at church.
Dillon was too busy with his cupcake to see them, until he was done.
Dillon told Santa what he wanted for Christmas, we think....
Michael had fun crawling all over the floor.
Both brothers had fun wrestling on the floor. There are times we have to tell both of them to be more gentle.

Getting a Tree

Today we went with Nana and Babba to get their Christmas tree.
Before the Great Tree Hunt began, we went to watch the pig races.
Dillon sat on Jake's shoulders so he could see. Jake's pretty tall, so I don't think he had much problem seeing.
The red-painted pig named Rudolph won the first two, and the plain pig named Rafael won the third.
Michael liked the feel of the trees.
Dillon did a very good job of supervising Babba as he cut the tree.
We got a tractor ride back to the front.

Michael watched the tractor pretty intently.
While we were waiting for the cow train, Dillon found someone to play sticks with.
Dillon rode with Michelle, while Michael rode with Mama.
After the train ride, Dillon checked out the petting zoo. There were some Guinea hens running around.
This goat would stick his head through the fence to try to get food, then maneuver his horns back. It was quite impressive.
Dillon gave the donkey some food.
Dillon the sheep & Michelle the cow.
We found our cousins Rachel, Harry & Anne Marie.
After supper, Michelle read Dillon some stories. It's hard to read when the words go all twirly.
Michael kinda-almost took a step all by himself. It'll be no time at all and he'll be off on his own.
