Labor Day Weekend

Last week, Uncle Ben, Aunt Cheryl, and Elijah came to visit.

Monday, I got to play with Elijah at home with Mema and Baba while Mama, Daddy, Uncle Ben & Aunt Cheryl went to a movie.

Mama got to feed Elijah.

He likes the camera, almost as much as I do.

After we all ate dinner, we all played together.

Before they left to spend the night at Mimi and Papa's house, Mama and Elijah took one last picture.

Tuesday, Uncle Ben and Daddy took pictures of each other before we went to Build-A-Bear.

Uncle Ben bought me a monkey. His name is Curious George.

Elijah was a little pouty, but he got over it.

Elijah ate dinner in my highchair. I ate in my big-boy booster seat.

After dinner, we all played together again.

I tried to take Elijah's bottle, but he didn't like that very much.

I gave him a kiss, and he calmed down.

Daddy had fun making him laugh.

He was getting tired, though.

I enjoyed playing with my baby cousin!

I've been asking Mama and Daddy where Uncle Ben is, but they say I won't see them until Christmas. I can't wait!

August Birfdays

We went to Uncle Tom's house to celebrate Nana, Babba, and Milly's birthdays.

After dinner, I helped open Milly's present from Nana and Babba.

I helped open Nana's present. Mama and Daddy got her some pretty clothes.

Milly got some pretty clothes from Mama and Daddy, too.

I had some technical difficulties with the ribbon from one of Milly's presents.

Babba got clothes, too!

He liked the card Milly gave him.

I helped Nana open the present that Mama, Daddy, and Milly gave Nana and Babba. They got a toy boat and a gift card for a cruise!

I got a bottle of water. It was fun to play with until Daddy took it away when I spilled it.

Everybody had lots of fun. Thanks, Uh-uh (Uncle) Tom!

Vacation Days 5, 6 & 7

Wednesday morning, we went to the beach again.

It was really windy, and the waves were really big.

After playing at the beach for a while, we went to the pool. All this playing makes a little boy thirsty. Katie shared her water with me.

Lunch was really good. Mama even helped cook it!

I found someone's camera and played with it for a while. I still like getting my picture taken, though. Cheese!

Thursday was more of the same. Beach, pool, lunch, nap, pool, dinner, and bed. Mama and Daddy stayed up late making brownies and rice krispy treats, but I didn't get any.


Friday afternoon, we were going to go to the beach, but nasty clouds came in, so we stayed inside and played games. Mama and Daddy played cards, and I tried to help. They were playing with "chips," but they didn't taste very good.

I also watched the bunny that came back. Daddy didn't let me go outside to pet it, though.

After supper, we went back to the beach to take pictures. I wasn't too happy with it, until Mema brought out the candy.

After that, I was in a much better mood.

Much better.

Saturday, it was time to go home. I read some,

played with Katie's hat some,

and slept some.

We saw an old train. I don't think it's gone anywhere in a while.

It was a long trip, but we were finally back in Arkansas.

A long, tiring trip.

Vacation Day 3 & 4

There's not much to say, every day's been about the same.

Wake up, go to the pool, go to lunch, nap time, go to the beach, go to the pool, eat dinner, go to bed.

I hear Mommy and Daddy went to some restaurant Monday night, but they didn't take me. I stayed and played with Mema and Baba.


Baba let me play his guitar, too.

It's lots of fun!


Tonight, we stayed inside because a big rain storm came through.


Aunt Cara read me some stories. She's really good at reading stories.

It's been a fun time, I really like playing in the waves and sand.

Day 2

Yesterday morning, we saw a bunny!

I had fun watching it.

Baba let me play on the golf cart. He wouldn't let me drive it, though.

Later, after a big lunch and a nap, we went to the beach!

There was a lot of sand. Daddy showed me how to scoop sand into my bucket.

I stayed and played with the sand while Mommy and Daddy went in the water.

Mema played with me.

I wanted to go get Daddy, so Mema took me. They were a long way out.

We played sandcastles for a while, then I wanted to find Mama.

Once we found Mama, we played sandcastles some more.

Everybody was building. We had lots of fun!
