Kids Club

Dillon got to go with the big kids to Kids Club at church tonight for the first time.
When Nanna and Babba came to get him, they let Michael play in the bounce house.
He didn't like it at all. Babba had to come rescue him.

Reading & springtime

Spring is here, a-sa-pu-ring is here....

Also, Dillon kinda likes Michael. Here he's reading him a book. Well, more like reciting, but....

Fun with Babba

This past Saturday, Babba got to hang out with the boys all day while Mama, Daddy, Nana and Michelle went to a Handbell Festival.  The Festival was lots of fun.  Everyone practiced handbell music all day, and then performed it that afternoon in a concert.  Babba and the boys didn't make the concert since Michael was still napping.  But, everyone had fun!

Dillon was sick with a stomach bug on Sunday.  Mama and Michael went to church so Daddy could stay home with Dillon.  Dillon laid on the couch and watched movies while Daddy worked most of the day on a school project.  Dillon felt better by the end of the day and went to school today.

Fun day.

Yesterday, since the weather was nice, we played outside. Michael had fun in Dillon's Cozy Coupe, then enjoyed some crackers & milk for a snack in his highchair on the back porch. Dillon played with Green Lantern and Buzz Lightyear.

That evening, we let Michael play with Mema and the rest of us went to a UALR Trojans basketball game. Dillon had a BLAST.

Super Valentine

We went to a super bowl party with one of Mama's friends from high school, and Dillon had lots of fun playing with all the toys and the other kids. Michael roamed around, and fell hard enough to bruise his forehead.
"Daddy, come see what Michael's doing…"
There's a reason Nana calls him messpot.
Dillon's Pre-K class had an early Valentine party Thursday, since they were out of school Friday and Monday. Dillon got to decorate cookies.
It's hard to tell, but he got just barely more on the cookie than on himself.

Prayer Request

I promise pictures of the boys will be up soon, but I wanted to post a prayer request for my great-aunt, Nan, pictured above.  Nan is one of the sweetest, kindest, most gentle individuals I have ever met.  She has a great deal of patience, and loves her family fiercely.  Her face absolutely lights up whenever I bring the boys over for a visit, and so I know they do that over-time when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren come over. :-)

At the moment, Nan is in the hospital.  She is a fighter, but she would also be the first to tell you prayers help.  I know most of the people who read this are family, but I thought I'd post this as a reminder for us all to continue to pray for her, Uncle John (her husband - don't ask me why she's not Aunt Nan... it's just never been that way, ha!) and the entire family.

Thank you for praying on our family's behalf!

Busy, busy

It's been busy, busy around here.
Michael has learned how to climb out of his bath seat. Daddy can't turn away for a second.
When Dillon & Michael spent the night at Nana & Babba's, they went to visit the re-opened Museum of Discovery.
They seemed to both have a good time.
Shampoo is fun to play with.
Dillon doesn't have quite as much hair to play with.
Speaking of hair, Michael got his first haircut.
He seemed to have a good time.

At Mimi's house, Dillon learned how to play Pokémon with Phillip.
Michael learned how to eat with a fork.
He even helped Mema blow out her candle.
And since we forgot his bath seat, Michael had lots of fun with the faucet at bathtime.

Since Christmas

We've been busy since Christmas.
Since there was no school or daycare the week after Christmas, Nana and Babba got to spend a lot of time with the boys.
That Tuesday, they went to Laman Library in North Little Rock to see the trains.
 Dillon loves him some trains.
That night, we met Uncle Ben, Aunt Cheryl, Elijah, and Charlie for supper.
After, they came over to play. Dillon was Superman, and Elijah was Captain Marvel.
Uncle Ben was whatever bad guy Dillon wanted him to be at the moment.

Dillon got to share his bath toys.
Last Thursday, Dillon got a much-needed hair cut. Daddy's still trying to convince Mama that it's time for Michael to get one.
Michael and Dillon LOVE playing together.
Of course, Michael's best friend is still his stuffed Tigger.
Last Friday, we all went for a walk around the neighborhood.
We ended up finding the neighborhood park.
Michael had a bit of a hard time walking on the leaf-covered, uneven ground.
There was a really tall slide that Dillon climbed up on, then climbed right back down.
Dillon had fun letting Daddy spin him around.
 Michael liked the horse.
 Then, it was Dillon's turn.
Michael's favorite was walking around the tennis court. No, really.
It's such a shame those two don't get along better....
