So much happening... so little time to post!

I cannot believe it has been a month and three days since the last post!  So much has happened, and we have a lot of pictures on Chris's camera that need downloading...

Here's the reader's digest version...

Dillon has had a good month.  :)  He began taking a few steps a little under a month ago, and we now officially have a walker as of last week!  I am going to say his official day of walking was last Sunday, because that's when I witnessed him walk long enough to become convinced in my mind.  It is a mind over matter concept for him, and he's not running or walking tremendously fast yet, but he's walking.

He's also been a little sick, but he's all better now.  Actually, Dillon was sick two weeks ago and I was sick for a few days last week!  But, we're all better now.  Grandpa Wright stayed with Dillon a few days when he was sick, but he's been going to daycare and continuing to do well in Infant II.

Like I said, we have a lot of pictures to post when we get the time... for now, I am going to think about getting ready for bed... and pray that Ike isn't too bad here...

Oooh-klahoma~ (part 3)

Saturday started out with a quick bath.

Daddy likes to put a mound of suds in my hair. I don't mind until he has to rinse it off. That's just no fun at all.

I like to play with duckies in the bath.

Here I am posing with Aunt Michelle. I like to call her "dada."

Later that day, we went to see more family at Cousins Teresa & Richard's house. Lots of people came over, and we ate homemade ice cream and cookies. I had a lot of fun going up and down the step they had between their dining room and living room.

Later, we went to the pool, but the water was way too cold, so Grandpa sat with me while Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Dada sat in the hot tub.

After that, it was bedtime, and I stayed in the "Pack-and-Play" for a while, then Daddy had to put me next to him again.

This thing is fun!

After we got packed up, I took a nap in the car, and we went to IHOP with (Aunt) Dorothy and (Uncle) Drew. Pancakes and French Toast are pretty good stuff!

After we got finished, it was time to hit the road again.


And by hit the road, I mean fuss until I fall asleep.

Daddy had to go to the bathroom, so we stopped for ice cream. Everybody shared with me, except Daddy, he had some nasty coffee ice cream. Silly Daddy.

Back on the road again, I showed Mommy how I can drink from two sippy cups.

Look at me go!

After that, it was nap time again, until we got home.

I really had a good time!

Oooh-klahoma~ (part 2)

Yesterday morning, we spent playing in the hotel room.

I practiced walking with my walker, and trying to get into everything I shouldn't.

I also took a little nap.

After lunch, Mommy and Daddy went to the doctor, while Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Michelle and I went to visit Cousins Bill and Barbara and their son Matt.

I really liked Matt's hat.

I also had fun playing with their dog, Paisley.

Uncle Tom met us there. We had a lesson on how to say his name.

All that talking got me tired. Grandpa's shoulder is a great pillow.

We left there and went to "Uncle" David's house. their dog, Charlie, was just the right size to play with. Their other dog, Annie, was really big and scared me.

I'm not sure Charlie really wanted to play.

I found out that I can stand up on my own!

I can even stand up without help!

I also had fun playing with their daughter, Sidney.

I slept all the way back to the hotel until about 4:30, when Daddy had to put me in bed next to him & mommy before I would go back to sleep.

We're supposed to meet Uncle Tom for lunch today before going to meet some more relatives.

Ooooh-klahoma (part 1)

Yesterday we left for our trip to Oklahoma.

I thought it would be a good time for a nap.

It rained.

Momma laughed when Daddy took her picture.

Smile, Daddy!

I slept.

We stopped for lunch, then got Ice cream. I tried some of Daddy's. I liked it a lot.

On the road again, not sleepy this time.

Grandpa let me play with his Mountain Dew can at Cousin Paige's house.

After dinner, I played with Cousin Trayce.

I slept on the way to the hotel, then woke up when we got there. Mommy and Daddy wanted me to sleep in the "Pack-and-Play," but I didn't want to. I ended up sleeping in bed next to Daddy.

Today, Mommy doesn't feel good. She and Daddy and Grandma went to a doctor, who said she has strep throat. I hope she feels better so she can play with me today.

Road Trip!

In around 45 minutes or so, we are going to embark on Dillon's first major roadtrip. Mom, Dad, Michelle, Uncle Tom, Chris, Dillon and myself are going to Oklahoma to see some of Mom and Tom's aunts, uncles, and cousins. Growing up, we went out there every few years, but we haven't been in several, and so I am really excited.

I am sure my parents are bringing their laptop, and so if there is a way for us to load pictures, we will. If not, we will post when we return on Sunday (or Monday, if we're too tired!).

Pool Pics

This evening, I got to play in the pool.

I had two of my duckies with me.

Mommy splashed around with me, too, but she didn't get in.

Daddy didn't get in, either, he just took pictures.
Of course, I posed for him.

I even let my duckies play in the grass.

Daddy gave me Spaghetti-Ohs and mashed potatoes for dinner. I liked them a lot. They're good and messy.

Tanako visit

Wednesday night, we all went down to see our friends at Camp Tanako.


I wasn't sure at first what to make of all these strange people.

I eventually warmed up to them. Miss Lynette's nice.

I really liked Miss Becky.

I still wasn't sure about Miss Caitlin.

It was pretty hot, and my hair got all sweaty, so Miss Becky played with it. :-/

We all had lots of fun, though.
